About VBS 2019 Volunteers

We hope that you'll prayerfully consider where God wants you to serve this year at FRBC VBS! We want to encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone and watch God work through you!

We will have a Volunteer Event on May 20th where you will be fully equipped with everything you need to know!

Volunteer Service Areas:

Registration: Greets parents and kids, helps with check-in/registration process, and explains important information to parents

Parking Lot/ Security: Greets families in the parking lot as they arrive, ensures that the proper doors are locked during VBS, ensures the safety of all children and volunteers by walking the campus, and directs parents during check-in and pick-up

Hype Squad/ Worship Team: Leads children and Small Group Leaders in a fun and meaningful time of worship through music and motions

Tech Team: Works together to provide audio, video, and computer graphics support

Preschool: Leads our preschoolers in exploring Biblical truths through worship, crafts, Bible stories, and games

Small Group Leaders: Leads a group of no more than 10 kids (with at least one other adult) in spiritual growth through small group activities, and travels with their group of kids to all other rotations

Crafts: helps kids explore Biblical truths through creative, hands-on activities and discussion questions

Snack: Sets up snack area with enough snacks for each kid and Small Group Leader, interacts with kids while they eat their snack, ensures that Games rotation has plenty of water and cups

Games: Sets up game area with equipment needed for daily games, facilitates games with each group of kids, ensures that kids stay hydrated while playing, and most importantly HAS A TON OF FUN!!

Floater: The most flexible role at VBS, willing to help out wherever needed (i.e. crowd control in snack, buddy up with a specific child in a small group who may need more one-on-one attention, directing parents at pick-up time, etc.)

Transportation Team: Drive (or ride) a church bus with another adult to pick up children who need rides to and from VBS

Parent Connection: Be a friendly face and share some information about FRBC with the parents of the kids attending VBS (A great option for those who cannot commit for the whole week or 2.5 hours per night.)

Prayer Room: This year we are asking for church members to sign up for time slots to pray during VBS (A great opportunity for those who feel they cannot serve in another capacity at VBS.)
